If you’re looking for something to do in London this weekend, how about going bananas and supporting the 1000 gorillas in their charity fun run to help save the world’s last remaining 720 mountain gorillas left in the wild.
OK, the runners are not actually gorillas…but fundraisers dressed up as gorillas and they’ll be running, jogging and walking the 7km City and Bankside fun run route that takes in sights such as Tower Bridge and The Tate Modern.
The run starts and finishes at the London Underwriting Centre off Mincing Lane, EC3 at 10.30am on Saturday, 24 September. Runners will finish in 30-40 minutes, if running, and 2 hours, if walking.
If this is an absolute ‘must-run’ for you, there’s still time to register. Registration closes on Friday…AND best of all, a gorilla suit is provided which you get to keep!
